Number of applications in the Android Market has passed 10000+

Approximately two thirds of all software is free to use, while for one third of the Android applications to be paid.

In the Android Market site, which a year ago doors opened, the number of applications has grown steadily in recent months.

Google’s site does not give direct insight into the number of available applications, but through Androlib is the majority view.

This site is the number of applications and games already passed the ten thousand, while the counter at the Android Market site is probably a little higher, so writes Mobile Crunch.

Last week Google did not know that in a next version of its mobile Android Market application to more emphasis is put on paid applications.

Despite the growth of the Android Market store, the software is still far behind Google for the iPhone.

With the App Store from Apple, annual one billion euro spent, while Android users in the past year but would have spent 42 million euros more Android phones on the market, the developer will however continue to be lucrative for Google’s open source OS software development
