Do not Buy Apple’s iPhone 4:Consumers Reports

Researchers from Consumer Reports impose a costly mistake in Apple’s new iPhone expose 4.If the device incorrectly held, is the signal path. smart phone is. They therefore provide no recommendation to buy the unit, although an excellent smart-phone.

Apple Ipod Jailbreak – 1.1.4 firmware guide

Here is a quick how to on Apple Ipod Jailbreak firmware 1.1.4 with Ziphone 3.0

1. First back up your Ipod touch using Itunes
2. Then restore your Ipod touch to the factory settings, using iTunes
3. Then reinitialize your Ipod Touch with iTunes
4. Close iTunes after initialization
5. Download and Unpack Ziphone – www.ziphone.org
6. Run ZiphoneGUI.exe
7. Then click on Jailbreak – you should see installation going on
8. It shouldn’t take more than ten minutes
9. Once its done restart your Ipod Touch then your done
10. You should be able to install third party application from Installer

If you have 2.0 firmware you might want to try and jailbreak your Iphone / Ipod Touch, using Winpwn I have not tried it yet on my Ipod as I’m still using 1.1.4 firmware.

Apple iPhone OS 4.0 Features Leaked

Here are some iPhone OS 4.0 features, according to web:

• There will be multi-touch gestures OS-wide. (Would make sense for that as the rumored OS for the iTablet is close if not the same as the iPhone)
• “A few new ways” to run applications in the background – multitasking.
• Many graphical and UI changes to make navigating through the OS easier and more efficient. We haven’t had this broken down, but we can only hope for improved notifications, a refreshed homescreen, etc.
• The update will supposedly be available for only the iPhone 3G and 3GS, but will “put them ahead in the smartphone market because it will make them more like full-fledged computers” more than any other phone to date. Everyone is “really excited.”
• The last piece of information is the most vague, but apparently there will be some brand new syncing ability for the contacts and calendar applications.

Nokia gets mobile phone music app Spotify

Spotify has announced that its mobile phone app is now available on the Symbian platform, offering up the music streaming service to a whole host of Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Samsung handsets.

The service allows you unlimited music streaming on your mobile phone, as long as you have a premium account with Spotify, and that you are on a fixed data plan which allows you WiFi or 2.5/3 Ginternet access.

There are 21 Nokia handsets compatible with the Spotify app. Interestingly, a number of these (including the nokia-5320-xpressmusic nokia-5530-xpressmusic-nokia-5800-xpressmusic already use the Spotify app.

Saying that, those with an nokia-n97-will be happy as the phone was left out of the Comes With Music Service, even though the handset is the company’s flagship device.

Other phones which can now access Spotify include the Sony Ericsson Satio and two Samsung devices: the GT-I7110 and samsung-i8910Christma comes (with music) early

“Today we’re delighted to announce the launch of Spotify for Symbian,” says Spotify on its website.

“Symbian is the operating system used by a number of smartphones including Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Samsung… We hope everyone enjoys this early Christmas present!”

Currently Spotify is also available for the iPhone and devices on the Android platform.

Number of applications in the Android Market has passed 10000+

Approximately two thirds of all software is free to use, while for one third of the Android applications to be paid.

In the Android Market site, which a year ago doors opened, the number of applications has grown steadily in recent months.

Google’s site does not give direct insight into the number of available applications, but through Androlib is the majority view.

This site is the number of applications and games already passed the ten thousand, while the counter at the Android Market site is probably a little higher, so writes Mobile Crunch.

Last week Google did not know that in a next version of its mobile Android Market application to more emphasis is put on paid applications.

Despite the growth of the Android Market store, the software is still far behind Google for the iPhone.

With the App Store from Apple, annual one billion euro spent, while Android users in the past year but would have spent 42 million euros more Android phones on the market, the developer will however continue to be lucrative for Google’s open source OS software development

Nokia N97 First Firmware Released!

As expected, Nokia has rolled out the first firmware update for Nokia N97 earlier this morning.

Software will be progressively available for most of the generic product codes as FOTA update but additionally this software release is also available through the Nokia Software updater so you can get it through your PC as well.

According to Nokia Software Updater team, this software release includes significant improvements in the software stability, especially email, imaging, USB detection, widget stability and display transitions.

To enable you to get the most out of your Nokia N97, the release also includes an Ovi store client. Further application updates will become available soon.

To get this software through your device,

select Applications > SW Updates and choose the software you want to update.

Additionally this software release is available through the Nokia Software Updater.
